Associate Professor John Lloyd

Associate Professor John Lloyd was a highly respected haematologist in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis, particularly haemophilia.

John was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2012 for his service to medicine in the field of haematology, to medical education, and to professional organisations.

He was Director of the Haemophilia Treatment Center in Adelaide, South Australia for over 30 years.

A/Prof Lloyd was a founding member of the National Haemophilia Medical Advisory Panel, which later became the Australian Haemophilia Centre Directors’ Organization (AHCDO).

AHCDO were pleased to rename the AHCDO Clinical Excellence Fund after A/Prof John Lloyd from 2013.
